(...again)

The band is getting back together. Same people, worse reflexes.

The comeback manifesto

Drafted by committee in a Discord thread over four months. It ran to 4,000 words. This is the edit.

We were never the "best" guild on the realm. But let's face it, we were da best guild on the realm. Who else can claim to have broken an entire server!

Twenty years ago some guys came together, formed a guild and marched on Blackrock Spire. A bunch of people in way too colorful armor, wielding weapons that looked more like toys than deadly murder instruments. But we had a plan - kill Ragnaros, because "he had a quest".

After a few weeks of never charging out of the healers' range, always staying in all the circles when necessary, and sweating so much that our chairs couldn't absorb any more of it, we got it done - we had cleared The Molten Core.

After that, we kind of got lost in the wind, came back "not prepared", slapped a weird blood elf's butt and called it a day for good. Then the servers kept running and we quietly stopped showing up.

All of these years, however, we all had a feeling. We had that feeling. Whenever we saw some old screenshots, the nostalgia hit home like a truck. What we miss isn't the loot. Nobody cries after some Arcanite bars or the lost roll on the Judgement armor shoulder piece.

What we miss is eight people in voice chat at 22:40 on a Wednesday, all slightly too invested, all laughing at something that does not survive being explained to a partner standing in the doorway asking if we are coming to bed.

So: <ReRolled> rolls again — slower, greyer, significantly better chairs. We are not chasing a rank. We are chasing a Wednesday.

The ones we remember

names withheld — several of them have LinkedIns now
52 characters on the old roster
8 found again so far
4 replies began with "omg, yes!"
44 presumably still hiding somewhere on the internet

There was a resto druid who never used rejuvenation. A hunter never spoke a word and whose pet was named after her cat, which outlived the guild. A rogue who turned out to be a soldier of fortune, and a shaman who needs better defense against thrown shoes.

We're not printing names. If you recognised yourself in that paragraph — or felt briefly accused — you're on the roster. Come and claim your spot in the Discord and we'll put you back in the sheet.

What we're doing at launch

Raid nights are not set. That's on purpose — we'll pick them once we know who's actually here.

01

Level together, badly

No race to cap. We will be the guild standing in a field, mounts out, discussing absolutely nothing for forty minutes.

week 1 →
02

Dungeons, under-geared, with a bad group composition

Four DPS and a holy paladin. If it takes two hours, it takes two hours.

whenever
03

Decide the raid nights as a group

One evening a week, or every two weeks, maybe less, who really knows. Chosen by the people who actually turn up.

once we're 20+
04

Wipe on something, laugh, log off

This is the product. Everything above is logistics in service of this.

indefinitely

Realm & faction

Horde. This was never up for discussion.

WoW Forever is one mega-server, so there's no realm to argue about — only a ruleset. We're genuinely undecided between Normal, RP and PvP, and we'll pick whatever the majority prefers. Whichever way it lands, we all go together — that part matters more than the answer.

Who this is for

Open to all, stated plainly.

  • 18+ only. Not to be exclusive. It's just easier when everyone can say "mortgage" unironically.
  • EU timezones. Evenings, not nights. We have families, jobs and, unforgivably, mornings.
  • English in group chat, whatever you like everywhere else.
  • Parents and part-timers welcome. "brb, child" is a complete sentence here and requires no follow-up.
  • Never played vanilla? Also fine — someone has to ask the questions so the rest of us can pretend we knew.
One thing to do

Come and be in the voice channel again.

No application. No trial. No spreadsheet of your parses. Turn up, say hello, and then argue with us about the ruleset like everyone else.
